Train JIU JITSU in
Chesterfield, Michigan
Training grappling will teach you skills that are directly applicable to real-life situations. At Champion Jiu Jitsu you will learn the technical components of a highly effective ground game while building character, stamina, and perseverance.
Carlos Machado: “One way or another, we’re going to hit the ground, and we’ll be in my world. The ground is my ocean, I’m the shark, and most people don’t even know how to swim.”
No Gi JIU JITSU / Submission Grappling
No-Gi JIU JITSU is effectively submission-based wrestling/grappling. The theories of JIU JITSU are learned and explored without the traditional uniform. No-Gi grappling is a more fluid situation that requires speed and adaptability, while honing one’s ability to control an opponent with more traditional wrestling style grips.
Traditional JIU JITSU
Gi JIU JITSU involves training with a traditional uniform (Gi). The theories of JIU JITSU are learned and explored while learning and combating the additional grips and techniques involved with the Gi. Gi grappling is a more methodical and technical situation that requires control and keen defense. Gi training translates well into real life situations where individuals are wearing clothing that can be used for or against you.
Lil’ Champions
Our Lil’ Champions program includes Gi and No-Gi classes that will help young people learn to overcome adversity, escape difficult situations, and condition their mind and body, while learning the skills and techniques of JIU JITSU. Kids will build camaraderie and learn to be a good partner on and off the mat, while developing a strong will and perseverance that will make them a formidable opponent for any bully. #BullyMeNoMore.
